Bourbon: Bourbon is the essential American liquor and takes its name from Bourbon County, Kentucky and must be distilled in the United States to maintain the designation as Top Rated Bourbons. In 1964, the U.S. Congress recognized bourbon as a “unique product of the United States” and defined its unique qualities and parameters for its production. The Federal Standards of Identity for Bourbon establish that whiskey must be made with a mash of no less than 51 percent corn grain along with rye, wheat and/or malted barley. It must be distilled to no less than 80 percent ABV and casked at 62.5 percent ABV or less. Only then can it be matured in new, charred white-oak barrels for a minimum of two years.

I must say that bourbons is one of my favourite drinks and I have been taken it for quite sometime now so I have some good experience with them.i like you list it very good and unbiased as the jack Daniels black label old no7 Tennessee whiskey is the best.thanks alot
If there’s an official national alcoholic beverage, Whiskey definetely is the all American’s selection.
I’ feeling kind of ashamed due to the following 2 reasons:
> My favorite whiskey is not in the list (Double the shame as the probable reason is that it’s an imported brand)
> I’ve only tested 4 out of the 25 listed herein: The Jack Daniels Old No. 7, the Jack Daniels Honey, the Knob Creek Single Barrel (water simpplified version of it 2/8) and the Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey.

Thank you very much for this article. I agree that what you have listed is really “TOP RATED” (though not all I have ever tried), but I can say like Jack Daniel, Bulleit, Basil Hayden’s, and Noah Mills are the best I have ever drunk. And, all of it is very nice to be enjoyed.
Speaking about Jack Daniel, with the addition of Pepsi with a little lemon, can make you feel “Woah!”
